Use a source-linked historical reference
If an old page links here expecting a live score, please use the historical record instead. It distinguishes the capture date from the underlying observation date and provides a table with original source links.
When citing a figure, include its period and explain that it is historical. Do not embed a recovered image next to “live” or “today” labels: that would change what the evidence appears to show.
Data for your own historical visualisation
The public CSV and JSON contain transcribed aggregate displays. Read the data notes first. They explain unknown close dates, repeated displays and the printed change field.
The downloads do not grant a licence to third-party article text or imagery. Original sources and their rights remain distinct from our transcription.
Propose a future embed
If you would like to help design an accessible, accurately labelled future widget, send the use case to info@ratethegod.com. Useful requirements include clear periods, sample context, update status and a visible link to the method.
